Community Outreach

Matthew 25:35  'For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in;”

Since 1821 Bethany UCC has been sharing compassion and care for others. It is as simple as that. We show love and compassion in everything we do. Whether it be:

  • Supporting Crossroad Child and Family Services

  • Serving at the Lebanon Food Pantry through Board membership and monthly participation in distribution and stocking

  • Providing nutritious, home-cooked meals and financial support for homeless families actively working to regain their footing through Interfaith Hospitality Network of Warren County

  • Sponsoring hungry school children living within the Lebanon City School District through the Warrior Back Pack Program

  • Annually fundraising for and providing nutritious and festive holiday food baskets for over 30 Warren County families in need, sustaining them for a week or more

  • And recognizing and fulfilling unique needs in our Lebanon and wider communities, providing support annually through our Thank Offering Program

At Bethany UCC, we consider ourselves to be a permission-granting church. We are open to ideas of service and are willing to pitch in, create and support. Everyone has a voice and an opportunity to bring an initiative forward. If it is in the spirit of helping others, we will listen and we will work together to benefit all of God’s children. Where there is a need, there is a heart and a compassion through Bethany. We live our service motto of Collectively, We Can. Working together, in big and little ways, we know and do, share the love of Jesus Christ with all.
