For a small church, Bethany has an outsized musical voice.  Our singing includes traditional hymns, gospel, and some contemporary songs.  We celebrate what is authentic to our congregation.

 

A significant contributor our music is the incredible Jay Mills.  In addition to being our pianist and special music coordinator, Jay also serves as the instrumentalist for Bethel AME, the Music Director for Lebanon Theater Company, and can be seen at various musical venues around Lebanon.  Truly, he is a local treasure.

 

Our choir consists of eight to twelve people.  Some of the anthems make you want to stand up and clap; others invite you to sit still and contemplate.  The choir is sometimes accompanied by guitar or electric bass but we don’t have a drum set or video screens.
